Rebecca Wilson has been in North County San Diego since 1997. She is a bilingual American Sign Language/English Interpreter and Instructor. She’s been involved in education since 2007. In her spare time, she loves rocking the house down with some local karaoke in addition to her other hobbies like photography, painting, drawing, and making digital art. Her art style is fluid and ever-changing. Never the one to follow the constraints of artistic rule, she loves encouraging students to break the rules and paint what their heart leads them to. Her students enjoy her practical approach to painting. She excels in explaining the why’s of what she’s painting rather than just the hows. She finds so much joy in seeing the light that shines from every student when they see that they have created something beautiful.
As a disibility rights advocate, she works to make every class she teaches accessible to everyone. As a bilingual instructor, she is open to hosting public and private events in both American Sign Language and English.
