As a young lass, I knew art would be a part of my life from the moment I was able to hold a crayon. Being so young I never imagined that being artistic and creative could actually be a rewarding career.
Secretly grabbing stacks of blank paper before school started so I could draw during classes, (that I probably should have been paying attention to...) I kept my hands moving and artistic enthusiasm blossoming.
I graduated from Paier College of Art in Hamden CT with a bachelors of fine arts in Graphic design in 1995. Graduating before the computer era took over in the graphic design world, jobs were few and far between for my portfolio of hand drawn layouts and typography so I kept perfecting my artistic skills in any type of creative outlet. From jewelry design, 3-d design, to murals, logo design then finally forming a successful face painting business. As my reputation developed I've been rewarded by being asked to paint scenery for several school plays and a Halloween haunted trail!!
Teaching has always been on my mind. When I finally was given the opportunity to teach summer art classes at Lauralton Hall, that's when I KNEW I had to pursue it!!
I am bubbly, outgoing and I bring my quirky fun personality to every single Painting & Vino class I teach. I have to admit since being a part of Painting & Vino, life has been a dream come true and this is truly the perfect opportunity for a personality and artist like me!
