Starting my own business with Painting and Vino is an absolute dream come true! Three of my favorite things are painting, teaching, and wine... so this really is the perfect career for me! I have been passionate about art for as long as I can remember, and in a way, I think all of my experiences have been leading me to this. I loved to draw, paint, color and design throughout my life. In high school I co-founded the Art Club and planned our senior trip to Greece to see art and history up close and personal! In college, I minored in art/art history and completed a year-long exchange in Oregon where I was very involved in the artistic community of Portland. Then I went on a semester-long Study Abroad program in Florence, Italy where I really honed my passion for Renaissance art and practiced plein air painting around the city of Florence. I kept my passion for art in the background while I pursued a career in teaching children. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2009 and worked for the next 8 years as a teacher. I taught kindergarten, second, fifth, and sixth grades, until I became a mom. Once my daughter was born in 2016, I realized I wanted to be home more. I decided to step back from the classroom around the same time that I discovered Painting and Vino.
I came to this company as a customer, just like you. My husband bought us a couple's class as a birthday gift, then I loved it so much that I came back with friends a few months later... both times I left thinking, "I could do this...." so I contacted our CEO and found out how to join the team, and the rest is history! Now, I am proud to own my own Painting & Vino business in Mesa and to be hosting painting events for all of you! I love the fact that I can inspire adults to create and challenge themselves in ways they never thought possible. Everyone has an artist in them, and I want you to see what you can truly do. In three hours, you will be amazed at what you can create. Everyone walks out with a piece of art as well as fun memories! Come take a class, enjoy yourself and discover your talents. This could be the start of the new you. Or at the very least, a fun way to spend a few hours relaxing, eating amazing food, and drinking with your friends. What are you waiting for?
