This event will be inside an air conditioned sunroom with a view of the horses located at Wellness Center on the Ranch.

Please Join the Poway Trail Company in Poway for a step-by-step instruction on how to recreate this Beautiful Easy horse painting, “Sunset Run”. There will be a Template for the Horse so NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

This benefit will help the trail company raise money for their non-profit Equine Studies curriculum. If you love horses you gotta come to this event! A Portion of the proceeds from tickets sold will be donated to the program. 


Come learn to paint this beautiful Horse running on the Beach in the presence of horses and a beautiful view all the way to the ocean. Breathe in the sights and sounds of a working horse ranch and draw inspiration while following an EASY step-by-step tutorial. No experience necessary.

 Equine Studies of San Diego is a new school in San Diego which we are in the process of building an extensive hands-on curriculum and contact base. We want to bring rich content, flexibility of participation and science based research and information to learners from high school and college students as well as to the overall horse enthusiasts.

All ages welcome to this 3 hour class. Light snacks and beverages provided but your welcome to bring your own beverage and lunch as well. Come early and spend time with the Horses!

Painting Difficulty (1-5): 

We encourage artistic freedom! You can alter the painting to fit your style and use any of our colors.

  • Check-in begins 30 minutes before the event start time. Give yourself time to park so you do not arrive late.

    Master Artist

    Erin Schroeder was born in Los Angeles and grew up in San Diego.  She then sauntered up and down the West Coast from San Diego to Portland painting and developing her unique expressions. She has a passion for art and has traveled the world absorbing art culture, colors, styles and inspiration from the artists she’s met along her journeys. Erin received her BFA from The Academy of Art University SF.  She lived as a working Artist in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Diego for many years after.  As an illustrator, she worked on Children’s Book illustrations, creating show posters, t-shirts, CD covers and designs, and merchandise of all kinds for the music industry. Back home in San Diego, Erin is inspired by vibrant colors, all things involving the ocean, and creating art for local venues and Oceanside Art Walk. Erin has been in the art supply and custom framing business for many years and has enjoyed mentoring and encouraging new artists and non  [Learn More...]
